I have always been active and I knew the basics on proper nutrition but I did not understand just how big of a role it played in the overall function of our bodies. Life can sneak up on us all and if we let stress, lack of discipline, and excuses take over we find ourselves worn-out and overweight. Six years ago I was newly recruited as a flight attendant for a private airline. An extremely unflattering photo was taken of me that was a complete reality check. I remembering staring at that picture embarrassed because I knew I was better than this.
God blessed me with this body and I was not taking care of it at all. Not only had I gained weight but I was always exhausted and depressed. The transformation did not happen overnight. I purchased a gym membership and became more conscious of what was I was putting into my body. Within 3 months I shed 20 lbs and started to feel good about myself not only physically but mentally as well. Next step was the positive environment. I did some “spring cleaning” of any negative influences and filled those spaces with church, positivity, and really great friends who motivated me and encouraged me. Those lessons brought me to where I am today. I am now a Wellness Way Specialist and a certified personal trainer using my knowledge and passion for health to help others transform their bodies and their minds in a safe and healthy way.
